Help us identify a possible suspect in the Armed Robbery that occurred in front of Hamilton Hall on Aug. 7, 2014

Original Message:
A complainant advised that on Thursday, Aug. 7, at 10:05 p.m. he was approached by a male subject in his 20’s about 5’10” and around 140 to 150 lbs. The subject produced a possible semiautomatic pistol with a metallic reflective surface. He advised that this occurred on McKinley Street in front of Hamilton Hall closer to Tulane Ave.

Update:  8-11-2014
While passing in front of Hamilton Hall, the victim was approached by a black male (early to mid 20’s), approx. 5'9" to 5'11" in height, approx. 150 lbs., dark complexion, with approx. 3/4" inch "natural hair", wearing a white muscle shirt, dark or black long basketball type shorts. As the victim tried to move, the suspect blocked his path. The suspect produced a semi-automatic pistol (possibly two-tone) and told the victim to empty his pockets and demanded cash.

After removing cash from the victim’s wallet, the suspect threw the wallet on the ground and fled toward the sidewalk between Hamilton Hall and Olivier Parking Garage. Upon canvassing the area, a 59FIFTY, fitted St. Louis Cardinal Baseball cap was found. The hat was blue with a red, flat bill with the stickers still affixed (size 7 5/8). The hat is very similar to the hat in the photograph provided. A suspect matching the description was observed on surveillance, fleeing the scene through the alley between Angelle Hall and the Taft Street Garage. The suspect appeared to turn left when reaching E. St. Mary Boulevard.
